A Tisket, a Tasket, a Tower Full of Baskets
I’m always on the lookout for home décor pieces that can be used for storage solutions in my house. A family of four plus pets plus a home office can create quite a demand for places to stash stuff. During one of my recent searches, I stumbled across an interesting piece whose purpose is for pet supply retail locations. It’s a rustic tower with pegs that hold twelve individual bushel baskets. At first glance, it didn’t appear to have much use for me, but then I cocked my head to the side and started thinking creatively. Literally! Suddenly I saw a wonderful solution to storing the paint, markers, stains, odds and ends I use for all my various crafting products. Plus, this little number has castors, so I can wheel it around my craft room! Boom!! I have to admit, I really do get a thrill when I find an innovative new way to utilize a piece of home décor. It may be the creative in me, but I love it when my friends comment how they would have never thought to use “that” for “that”! You can literally save hundreds of dollars sometimes, repurposing a piece for a use it wasn’t created for. Why spend more to buy something because it has been designated for a certain purpose, when you can repurpose “generic” pieces for the same use, but for far less money? Plus, your finished product is something that no one else has! As for me and my Camp Bow Wow Log Standing Basket Tree, you can find us happily creating brilliance in my craft room.
