Totally Turquoise

The internet has not been such a good thing for me. Sure, I love its convenience and 24/7 access, but the World Wide Web really sucks the productivity right out of me. It’s a Wednesday afternoon and I fire up the ole’ Macbook to do a price comparison on bathroom faucets and the next thing I know I’m on a log furniture site by way of Pinterest and Facebook. Suddenly I wonder, “where did the last hour go?”. Yeah, I’m sure a couple of you can relate. But wow, what beautiful things I find on those long rabbit trails through the web-o-sphere! On a recent rendezvous, I was on that aforementioned log furniture site and my attention suddenly fixated on a beautiful barnwood bed, layed out in all its splendor on the screen. Only, it wasn’t the rustic wood that caught my eye so much as it was the turquoise pillows and accent lampshade. I am a sucker for the color turquoise. For a moment I felt like I was in that Friends episode where one of the characters went to IKEA and just bought the entire demo room. I wanted to call and order everything that was in and around that bed…especially the turquoise pillows and lamp! Needless to say, I controlled my enthusiasm (for a day or two). I didn’t end up ordering a new Old Sawmill Timber Frame Bed, but I darn sure had the pillows and lamp delivered to my house. And they look just as good here as they did on my computer screen! Darned internet anyway.
