Our Cedar Lake Rustic Log Daybed is handcrafted from naturally aged Northern White Cedar logs that are hand peeled to ensure that as much of the character left by nature is left intact. This rustic character can be found in such forms as beetle tracks, cats eye burls, gnarls and more. The hand peeling removes the outer bark and leaves some of the inner bark, or cambium, on the logs to create a nice contrast.
The Cedar Lake log daybed was designed to use a standard twin mattress on the built-in frame and the optional trundle frames also will use a standard 8" thick twin mattress. We offer a trundle frame which will roll out and from under the daybed to act as another sleeping area, and also pops up, unless you order it with a faux drawer face, in which case, the pop up feature will not functiona properly without removing the drawers. Both the daybed and trundles accommodate twin mattresses.
