The Beartooth Aspen Full Stand Log Cheval Mirror is free stranding and is equipped with a sturdy, full stand base. The mirror can be tilted within the stand's framework, which is great for a full body viewing or a dressing aid in the bedroom. Environmentally friendly, all logs are harvested from dead-standing aspen trees. The aspen logs used in this line of rustic furniture are hand-peeled to preserve the natural wood color and character.
To bring out the natural beauty of the wood, three different coats of finished are applied. The first is a special undercoat that enhances the aspen colors and makes the reds, greys, blues and knots more vibrant. Two more coats are applied of a Sherwin-Williams Conversion Varnish. Conversion Varnish provides a harder and more chemical and water resistant finish than typical lacquers and varnishes.
It took a little bit longer than anticipated to receive the frames, but it was well worth the wait. I love the unique look of the of the bedframes. They fit in well at my cabin in the woods.
