Solid aspen materials are used for all of the logs and paneling. The paneling material is dried in a kiln to a percent that exceeds the recommended minimum level of moisture in order to minimize any shrinking and splitting. To bring out the natural beauty of the wood, three different coats of finished are applied. The first is a special undercoat that enhances the aspen colors and makes the reds, greys, blues and knots more vibrant. Two more coats are applied of a Sherwin-Williams Conversion Varnish. Conversion Varnish provides a harder and more chemical and water resistant finish than typical lacquers and varnishes. Choose from two different sizes. The sofa tables have a 1" thick laminated paneling completely wrapped in 2" thick log trim. For an extremely unique look with extra character & curvy logs, upgrade to the extra gnarly aspen.
