The kiln dried aspen logs are full of knots, gnarls, and beetle marks and may be finished with a low gloss catalyzed lacquer finish which helps keep the natural look of the wood or a honey finish, both of which will add a bit of color and depth to the furniture. There will be natural variations and differences in coloration, texture, appearance and even size from one piece to another.
