Your sturdy log table is made from northern white cedar logs which have been aged for a few years allowing nature to make her mark on the logs. Beetle marks, burls, cats eyes and other rustic character may be found on the logs. To ensure the unique natural character remains in the logs, each log is carefully peeled by hand. Sanded white pine boards make up the log table tops.
Northern White Cedar is recommended for outdoor use as it is resistant to mildew, insects and rot. Average life span of outdoor cedar furniture is roughly 12 - 15 years unfinished and much longer when finished with an exterior finish. Your rustic picnic table set is available unfinished only but feel free to finish it in the exterior grade stain or finish of your choice!
