It is shipped in a plywood box built around the furniture. As you are opening the box with the special square drill bit that comes with the box you start to get glimpses of the furniture and get excited to see the entire piece. It took a little bit longer than anticipated to receive the frames, but it was well worth the wait. I love the unique look of the of the bedframes. They fit in well at my cabin in the woods.
